About us
Why we built Manatee
Professional networks were built for a different internet, when information was scarce and personal branding was expensive. Today that looks like low-quality content, irrelevant outreach, and tools that feel more like sales platforms than places for real connection.
LinkedIn made this the default: profiles, feeds, and cold messages at scale. The things that actually matter got harder to find: trust, context, proof, intent, and useful outcomes.
Manatee is built around those things.
What we believe
A good network should answer: who is relevant to me right now, why, can I trust them, and what is the right way to connect?
- We match on goals, not profiles.
- We reach out by email when there is a fit.
- You do not browse a feed.
How it works
You tell Manatee what you are trying to do. Manatee works in the background and emails you only when there is someone worth meeting, with context on who they are, why you are connected, and a suggested next step.
No feed. No daily check-in. Just a note when the fit is real.
Why intros are not guaranteed
LinkedIn optimizes for volume. Manatee optimizes for relevance. If we emailed every time someone asked, we would become another inbox people ignore. We would rather stay quiet than make a bad intro.
What we won't do
- Build for engagement metrics.
- Run ads.
- Confuse visibility with value.
- Use AI to create more noise instead of filtering what matters.
